Tsile Tsile Airport, also known as Tsili Tsili Airfield, is a small airfield in the Watut Valley of Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea. It is best known as a former World War II airfield that was constructed in secret behind Japanese lines and used for Allied air operations during the New Guinea campaign.
Located roughly 65 km (40 miles) from Lae, the province's main city, the airfield sits in a remote inland area near the Watut River. After the war the airfield was abandoned, and today the strip is largely unused for scheduled commercial aviation, serving mainly light aircraft, charter and general aviation purposes.
