Tokoroa Airfield is a public aerodrome owned by the South Waikato District Council, serving Tokoroa and the wider South Waikato district on New Zealand's North Island. It primarily supports general aviation, private flying, the Tokoroa and Districts Aero Club and light aircraft operations rather than scheduled passenger services. Located about 3 km east-southeast of Tokoroa town centre, the airfield sits in the Waikato region between Hamilton and Taupō on State Highway 1. It has a grass runway of about 1,120 m with an 850 m sealed landing strip, and aircraft up to 5,700 kg are permitted to use the runway. The airfield has no passenger terminal; aviation buildings, hangars and a clubhouse support local and visiting pilots. Road access from Tokoroa is straightforward, and the town's services are only a short drive away. Nearby centres include Putāruru, Rotorua and Hamilton, and private transfers, taxis or rental vehicles can be arranged for onward travel.
