Tarinkot Airport (TII)

Tarinkot Airport serves Tarinkot (Tarin Kowt), the capital of Uruzgan Province in southeastern Afghanistan. As a domestic airport, it connects the provincial centre with other parts of the country and supports both civil and military aviation operations under Afghanistan's Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation.

The airport sits at an elevation of about 1,350 metres above sea level and features a single concrete runway, designated 12/30, measuring approximately 2,225 by 42 metres. A single-story passenger terminal handles travellers, while a separate four-story control tower manages air traffic.

Located about 2 km south of central Tarinkot along the Tarinkot–Kandahar Highway, the airport offers a straightforward road connection to the town centre and onward routes toward Kandahar, roughly 97 km to the south, and Kabul, about 330 km to the north-northeast.

Although facilities are modest, the airport functions as an important entry point for Uruzgan Province and provides basic ground transport options for continuing journeys across the region.
