Sphinx International Airport is an international airport serving Giza and the western side of Greater Cairo. It acts as a convenient gateway for domestic flights and a growing number of international services, particularly for visitors heading to the Giza Plateau.
Located on the Cairo–Alexandria Desert Road roughly 45 km from central Cairo, the airport opened in 2019 and was upgraded in 2025 to handle around 1.2 million passengers a year.
