Saint Catherine International Airport is a small airport serving St. Catherine in Egypt's South Sinai Governorate, close to Mount Sinai. It is located about 20 km northeast of the town at an elevation of roughly 1,331 metres.
The airport has a single asphalt runway and a passenger terminal with international and domestic departure and arrival areas plus a VIP lounge. An expansion programme is adding a longer runway, a larger apron and a modern terminal designed to handle around 600 passengers per hour.
The airport mainly supports charter, seasonal and private flights, and road access connects SKV with St. Catherine town, Mount Sinai and onward routes across South Sinai.
As part of the Great Transfiguration development project, the airport is being upgraded to support religious and eco-tourism in the Mount Sinai area, making the region more accessible for both domestic and international visitors.
