San Tomé Airport is a small regional airport in San Tomé, Anzoátegui, in eastern Venezuela. Also known as Don Edmundo Barrios Airport, it mainly serves the nearby cities of El Tigre and San José de Guanipa and supports travel linked to the region's oil industry.
Re-inaugurated in 2005 with improved infrastructure and runway lighting for night operations, the airport has a single asphalt runway of about 1,920 metres and one compact passenger terminal. Commercial flights resumed in 2024, complementing corporate and charter traffic.
The airport lies roughly 14 km from El Tigre and is reached mainly by taxi, private transfer or private vehicle. Road access makes it practical for travelers continuing to San José de Guanipa, San Tomé and other towns in the area.
