Régina Airport (REI)

Régina Airport is a small airfield serving the commune of Régina in eastern French Guiana, on the Approuague River. It provides an essential air link for a remote riverside community, mainly through general aviation, charter flights, medical evacuations and administrative or supply flights rather than scheduled commercial services.

The airport sits beside the village with a single paved runway (06/24) of about 800 metres and minimal ground infrastructure. Its location in Amazonian rainforest makes it an important connection point for isolated settlements that otherwise rely on slow river or road travel.

By road, Régina lies roughly 116 km from Cayenne along the RN2, with a journey of about 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours. Local transport around the village is often arranged by river, while onward travel toward the capital is generally made by pre-arranged vehicle.

Passenger facilities are minimal, so visitors should plan to be self-sufficient and confirm flights and ground transport with their operator or local contacts in advance.
