Regina International Airport (YQR)

Regina International Airport is the main airport serving Regina, the capital of Saskatchewan, and the wider southern Saskatchewan region. It handles domestic flights and international arrivals, connecting the city with major Canadian hubs and seasonal and international services. The current airport site was developed between 1928 and 1930, with a terminal building completed in 1940 and a newer terminal erected in 1960. The airport later underwent major renovations and an expansion in the early 2000s that increased terminal capacity and improved the post-security, international arrivals and baggage areas. Located roughly 7 km west-southwest of downtown Regina, the airport operates a single terminal arranged over two levels. The main floor contains check-in, baggage claim, car rental desks and Canada Border Services Agency processing, while the upper level houses security screening and the departure gates. Travellers can reach the city centre and surrounding areas by taxi, ride-hailing services, public transit, rental cars and private transfers. On-site amenities include free Wi-Fi, ATMs, an information desk, restaurants and cafés, and a locally focused retail store.
