Razer Airport (KUR)

Razer Airport is a small public-use airfield serving Kuran wa Munjan district in Badakhshan, northeastern Afghanistan. It sits at an elevation of about 2,520 metres in the Hindu Kush and is used mainly for local, government and humanitarian flights rather than scheduled commercial passenger services.

The airport has a single dirt runway (08/26) of approximately 869 metres, which limits operations to smaller aircraft and generally requires good weather and advance coordination. Its remote mountain setting makes it an important but weather-dependent access point for the district.

Razer Airport lies about 110 km south of Fayzabad, the capital of Badakhshan province, and roughly 192 km northeast of Kabul. Road connections are limited and slow, so onward travel to district settlements and provincial centres is normally arranged by private vehicle, four-wheel drive or pre-booked transport.

With no commercial terminal building, the airport functions as a basic landing point rather than a full-service passenger hub. Travelers should plan supplies, communications and ground transport carefully and confirm flight details with operators before departure.
