About Raglan Aerodrome
Raglan Aerodrome is a small coastal general aviation airfield serving the surf town of Raglan on the west coast of New Zealand's North Island. It is a non-certificated, uncontrolled aerodrome used mainly by private pilots, flight training, gliding, microlights and scenic flights rather than scheduled commercial services.
Located about 1 km west-southwest of Raglan township and roughly 48 km west of Hamilton, the airfield provides convenient access to Raglan's black sand beaches and well-known surf breaks such as Manu Bay and Whale Bay.
The airfield has a single grass runway (05/23) and basic community aviation infrastructure. It has no formal passenger terminal, air traffic control or navigational aids, so operations are arranged directly with local operators and pilots.
Travelers arriving at Raglan Aerodrome can reach Raglan township in a few minutes by car or a short walk, while Hamilton and the wider Waikato region are reachable by road.
