About Quimper-Cornouaille Airport
Quimper-Cornouaille Airport is the main air gateway for Quimper and the Cornouaille area of southern Finistère in Brittany. It serves both business and leisure travellers, linking the region with Paris and a number of seasonal and international destinations.
The airfield was created in 1932 by the Quimper Cornouaille Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with scheduled commercial services developing from the 1960s. A new passenger terminal was brought into service in 1986, and since 2008 the airport has been operated under a regional concession.
Located in Pluguffan, about 7 km from central Quimper, the airport is easy to reach by taxi, public transport and car, with direct access to the main roads serving northern, western and southern Brittany.
Its compact single terminal keeps arrivals and departures simple, with free Wi-Fi, a café, a small shop and car rental desks on hand for onward travel to coastal towns such as Bénodet and Concarneau.
