Prince Albert (Glass Field) Airport is the main airport serving the city of Prince Albert and a regional gateway to central and northern Saskatchewan. The airport was originally opened on 22 July 1940 as No. 6 Elementary Flying Training School under the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan and later developed into the city's public airport.
Today the airport handles scheduled passenger services operated by Rise Air, connecting Prince Albert with Saskatoon and northern Saskatchewan communities. It features a paved, lighted main runway of about 1,524 metres with instrument landing system capability, alongside a secondary turf runway.
Located roughly 6 km northeast of the city centre and accessible via Highway 55, the airport is reached by car, taxi, private transfer or rental car. A single terminal building provides seating, vending, washrooms and passenger parking.
The airport is a practical starting point for travel to Prince Albert National Park, the region's lake country and remote northern Saskatchewan destinations.
