Paraparaumu Airport is a regional airport serving Paraparaumu and the Kapiti Coast in New Zealand's lower North Island. It provides domestic connections to Auckland, Blenheim and Nelson and functions as a secondary gateway to the wider Wellington region.
Located about 50 km north of Wellington city centre, the airport operates a single passenger terminal and is used by scheduled regional airlines, general aviation, charter flights, scenic flights and flight training. The airport opened in 1939 and served military purposes during World War II, with the 1947 control tower now a registered historic place. Facilities were upgraded after the airport was sold to new private owners in 2006.
Passengers can reach the terminal at 60 Toru Road in Paraparaumu by car, taxi or shuttle, and Paraparaumu railway station is nearby with regular Kapiti Line rail services to Wellington and Waikanae. Rental cars are available at the terminal for exploring the Kapiti Coast and surrounding areas.
