Old Crow Airport is the year-round air gateway to Old Crow, the only community in Yukon's far north. Home to the Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation and set along the Porcupine River, Old Crow has no road connection to the rest of the territory, making the airport essential for passengers, freight and everyday supplies.
The airport has a small air terminal building and a single gravel runway, 04/22, about 1,531 metres long. Air North provides scheduled flights between Old Crow and Whitehorse, Dawson City and Inuvik, linking the community to the wider Yukon and Northwest Territories.
Old Crow Airport sits immediately beside the community, so the centre of Old Crow is only a short walk away. There is no taxi, bus or car rental service at the airport, and visitors typically walk or pre-arrange a local pickup.
The terminal is open daily from 6 am to 6 pm and offers a waiting area and telephone. There are no food services or shops, so travellers should plan meals and supplies in advance. Despite its small scale, the airport remains a vital lifeline for one of Canada's most remote communities.
