About North Caicos Airport
North Caicos Airport is a small airport serving North Caicos, the second largest island in the Turks and Caicos Islands. It operates a single 4,245-foot asphalt runway and a compact terminal near Major Hill, a short distance from the main settlement of Bottle Creek.
The airport mainly handles domestic charter flights and private aircraft, with limited scheduled service from Providenciales. It also provides customs and immigration services during daylight hours and has been formally renamed Clifford Gardiner International Airport, although North Caicos Airport remains the commonly used name.
Located in the northern Caicos Islands, the airport is reached along King's Road and is close to Bottle Creek, Whitby and other island villages. A causeway connects North Caicos to Middle Caicos, while the Providenciales to North Caicos ferry links the island to the main international gateway.
Facilities at the airport are basic, reflecting its small size, with limited waiting and parking areas rather than large terminal services. Travelers typically combine flights with ferries, road travel and pre-arranged transfers to reach hotels and other destinations across the Caicos Islands.
