Natuashish Airport is a small regional airport serving the remote Mushuau Innu community of Natuashish on Labrador's northern coast. It provides an essential air link between the fly-in community and the rest of Newfoundland and Labrador for residents, workers and visitors.
The airstrip was certified in 2003, replacing the former Davis Inlet airstrip, and is operated by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador on behalf of the Mushuau Innu First Nation. The airport has a single gravel runway, Runway 12/30, measuring about 762 metres (2,500 feet) in length, and sits at an elevation of about 33 feet above sea level.
Regional airlines such as PAL Airlines and Air Borealis operate scheduled coastal flights between Natuashish and nearby communities including Nain, Hopedale and Happy Valley-Goose Bay, where connections continue to larger centres in Newfoundland and Labrador and beyond.
Located about three kilometres west of the community, the airport is reached by local vehicle, taxi or community transportation. The compact single-terminal layout keeps arrivals and departures straightforward for the limited number of daily regional flights.
