About Nancy-Essey Airport
Nancy-Essey Airport is a regional airport serving Nancy and the Grand Est area of eastern France. Located in Tomblaine, about 4 km east of central Nancy and close to Place Stanislas, the airport originated as a military airfield before being enlarged for civilian use in the 1920s.
Since scheduled commercial traffic was consolidated at Metz-Nancy-Lorraine in 1991, Nancy-Essey has focused on business, private and general aviation, including air taxi and medical flights. The airport has a single passenger terminal and a 1,600 m paved runway, making it well suited to private jets and light aircraft.
The airport is quick to reach from Nancy by taxi, private transfer or rental car, and local buses serve stops near the site. Its central location makes it a practical arrival point for visitors continuing to Nancy, Tomblaine and the wider Lorraine region.
Passenger facilities are compact but practical, with a restaurant, lounge, meeting space and parking available on site. The airport provides an efficient, low-congestion option for private and business travellers visiting eastern France.
