Moose Jaw Air Vice Marshal C. M. McEwen Airport is a Royal Canadian Air Force base serving Moose Jaw and the surrounding southern Saskatchewan region. It is operated as part of 15 Wing Moose Jaw and functions primarily as a military flying training and operations airfield rather than a conventional passenger airport.
The airfield opened in 1941 as RCAF Station Moose Jaw after the Government of Canada acquired and rebuilt the earlier Moose Jaw Flying Club aerodrome to support the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan. It was later named in honour of Air Vice-Marshal Clifford McKay McEwen, a Moose Jaw native, and reopened in 1952 to train pilots during the Cold War.
Located about 7 km south of downtown Moose Jaw, the base is home to the 2 Canadian Forces Flying Training School, the NATO Flying Training in Canada program and the 431 Air Demonstration Squadron, better known as the Snowbirds.
Passenger access is limited and generally arranged through operators, with road links connecting the airfield to Moose Jaw, nearby attractions and onward destinations such as Regina.
