Minangkabau International Airport is the main international airport serving Padang and the wider West Sumatra region. Opened in July 2005, it replaced the former Tabing Airport and became the principal air gateway for domestic connections and international services in the area.
Located in Ketaping, Padang Pariaman Regency, about 23 km north-west of central Padang, the airport connects West Sumatra with major Indonesian cities and international destinations. It operates through a single passenger terminal handling both domestic and international flights.
