About Metz-Nancy-Lorraine Airport
Metz-Nancy-Lorraine Airport is the main regional airport serving the Lorraine area of north-eastern France. Opened on 28 October 1991, it replaced the former Metz-Frescaty and Nancy-Essey airports and now connects Metz, Nancy and the surrounding Grand Est region with domestic and international destinations.
Located in Goin, about 20 km south-east of Metz and north of Nancy, the airport has a single passenger terminal with check-in desks, a departure area, boarding gates and baggage reclaim facilities. Its runway was lengthened to 3,050 metres in 2006, allowing the airport to handle larger aircraft.
The airport is reached by road via the A31 motorway and local routes, with shuttle bus, taxi, private transfer and car rental options available for journeys to Metz, Nancy and nearby towns. The Lorraine TGV station at Louvigny, a few kilometres away, provides onward high-speed rail connections.
With a compact, easy-to-navigate terminal and practical passenger services, the airport functions as a convenient gateway for travellers visiting the Lorraine region.
