Merville–Calonne Airport is a regional general aviation airport located about 3 km south of Merville, in the Nord department of the Hauts-de-France region in northern France. It supports private flights, flying clubs and general aviation rather than scheduled commercial airline services.
The airfield has a long military history. It was developed as a Luftwaffe base after the occupation of France in 1940 and was converted into an Allied airfield after the area was liberated in 1944, later serving as Royal Air Force Advanced Landing Ground B-53 Merville.
The airport has two north–south runways: an asphalt runway of 1,840 metres and a grass runway of 1,000 metres, together with air traffic control services, a small terminal building and a restaurant.
For onward travel, the airport is convenient for Merville and the surrounding Lys valley, with Hazebrouck, Béthune and Lille reachable by road. Private transfers, taxis, chauffeur services and rental cars are the most practical ways to continue to nearby towns and the wider region.
