Lyon-Bron Airport is a business aviation airport serving Lyon and the surrounding Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Established in 1920, it was Lyon's principal commercial airport until 1975, when scheduled services transferred to Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport; today it is dedicated to private, business and general aviation flights.
Located about 10 km east of central Lyon in the commune of Bron, the airport offers quick access to Lyon, Villeurbanne and nearby business and residential districts. Its compact single terminal combines passenger handling with FBO services for private jets, business flights and helicopters.
The airport is operated by Aéroports de Lyon and features a 1,820-metre runway, hangars, passenger and crew lounges, and parking. The city centre can normally be reached by car in around 15 to 25 minutes, depending on traffic.
Onward travel is supported by taxis, private transfers, chauffeur services, vehicle rental and road links via the A43 motorway, making the airport a convenient entry point for business aviation travellers visiting the Lyon area.
