About Lutselk'e Airport
Located about 2 km northeast of the community, Lutselk'e Airport serves Łutsël K'é, a remote Dene settlement on the East Arm of Great Slave Lake in the Northwest Territories, Canada. The airport is the settlement's main year-round air link to Yellowknife.
The airport has a single gravel runway, Runway 08/26, approximately 3,003 feet long, and a small passenger terminal used for scheduled and charter flights. Air Tindi operates regular scheduled services between Lutselk'e and Yellowknife, a distance of roughly 190 km that normally takes about 45 minutes by air.
Because the community has no road access, the airport is essential for passenger travel, freight and medical travel, as well as access to Thaidene Nëné National Park Reserve and Great Slave Lake lodges. Visitors continue from the terminal by prearranged vehicle transfer into the community or to local boat launches and lodge pick-up points.
