About Luleå Airport
Luleå Airport is the main airport serving Luleå and the Norrbotten region of northern Sweden. Civilian air traffic began in 1944, and the current civilian terminal area was opened in 1984; the airport has since become an important hub for air travel across northern Sweden.
Located about seven kilometres from central Luleå, the airport connects the city with domestic destinations and a number of international routes, serving both business and leisure travellers as well as the surrounding municipalities of Boden, Piteå, Kalix and Älvsbyn.
The airport is linked to the city centre by local buses 4 and 104, taxis, private transfers and car rental, with the journey to central Luleå typically taking around 15 minutes. Its single terminal keeps arrivals, departures and ground transport within easy reach.
Facilities include a restaurant, café, duty-free shopping, free Wi-Fi, parking, a VIP lounge and conference rooms, making the airport a practical gateway to Swedish Lapland and the northern coast.
