About Lombok International Airport
Lombok International Airport is the main airport serving the island of Lombok and the surrounding West Nusa Tenggara region. It opened in 2011, replacing the older Selaparang Airport in Mataram, and is now officially known as Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport.
Located in Tanak Awu in the Pujut area of Central Lombok, roughly 40 km from Mataram, the airport provides domestic and international connections for leisure and business travellers heading to destinations such as Senggigi, Kuta Mandalika and the Gili Islands. It operates a single passenger terminal with domestic and international areas, and a runway capable of handling wide-body aircraft.
