Linköping City Airport is a compact international airport serving Linköping and the surrounding Östergötland region. Located a few minutes east of the city centre, it provides scheduled KLM connections to Amsterdam and onward access to destinations across Europe and beyond.
The airport's history dates back to a field established in the early 1930s for Saab test flights. It gained civilian status for scheduled air traffic in 1977, with the first civilian services starting in 1979, and its modern single terminal has been expanded in stages, including work in 2003 and 2007.
The terminal has three gates within roughly 2,500 square metres and is designed for efficient passenger handling, with a capacity of around 200,000 passengers per year and a 2,133-metre runway.
Located near the E4 motorway and close to Linköping's travel centre, the airport is reachable by car, taxi and local bus, making onward travel to the city and region straightforward.
