About Letung Airport
Letung Airport is a small domestic airport on Jemaja Island in the Anambas Islands Regency of Indonesia's Riau Islands province. Construction began in 2014, and the airport began operating in 2016 before being formally inaugurated on 14 October 2019.
Located in the village of Bukit Padi in East Jemaja district, the airport serves as the main air gateway to the Anambas Islands and nearby island destinations. Scheduled domestic services operated by Wings Air and Susi Air connect the area with Batam and Tanjung Pinang.
The airport has a single passenger terminal and a runway of about 1,600 metres, capable of handling aircraft such as the ATR 72. The terminal building has been expanded to provide additional passenger capacity, with departure and arrivals areas and basic passenger services.
From the airport, road links offer a short connection to Letung town, the main settlement on Jemaja Island. Travellers can continue by local transport, taxi, private transfer or chauffeur service to accommodation and other parts of the island and the wider Anambas archipelago.
