The airport has a single unpaved runway, 17/35, approximately 504 metres long, and a basic passenger shelter. Passenger handling is kept simple, with minimal facilities and no separate domestic or international terminal areas.
Langimar lies in a rugged, mountainous part of the country between Bulolo and Lae, and road access is limited and weather-dependent.
