Kimmirut Airport is the only airport serving the small hamlet of Kimmirut, located on the south coast of Baffin Island in Nunavut. Operated by the Government of Nunavut, it links the community with the regional hub of Iqaluit and supports essential passenger travel and freight for residents.
The airport is a compact facility with a single gravel runway and a modern air terminal building that opened in March 2025, replacing an older structure and becoming the first of six new terminals in Nunavut's airport network.
Canadian North operates scheduled flights between Kimmirut and Iqaluit, the main connection point for travel to other parts of Nunavut and southern Canada. The airport sits close to the hamlet centre, making local journeys short.
