About Karlskoga Airport
Karlskoga Airport is a small general aviation airfield located about 3 km northwest of Karlskoga in Örebro County, Sweden. It serves private flights, business aviation and local flying clubs rather than scheduled passenger traffic, and provides a convenient entry point for the Karlskoga area.
The airfield was originally developed as a sports flying field and expanded in stages. Until December 1991 it operated regional scheduled flights to Stockholm Arlanda, and during the 1980s also served Bromma, Oslo and Copenhagen before passenger services ended when Bofors moved its flights to Örebro Airport.
Today the airport is used mainly for general aviation, with Karlskoga Motorflygklubb and Karlskoga Segelflygklubb based at the airfield. A paved runway of about 1,499 metres, apron parking and fuel services support private and club flying throughout the year.
By road, the airport is only a few minutes from central Karlskoga, and Örebro lies roughly 35 km to the east, making it easy to continue onward to hotels, business locations and other destinations across the region by taxi, private transfer or rental car.
Terminal Overview
Terminals
