Kaitaia Airport is the main airport serving Kaitaia and the Far North District of Northland, New Zealand. Located about 5 km north-northeast of the town centre, it provides a compact regional gateway for domestic flights, primarily between Kaitaia and Auckland.
The airfield has its origins in a Second World War-era military aerodrome, and scheduled air services to Auckland began in 1947. Today it operates a single sealed runway and a small passenger terminal, with regional airline Barrier Air providing regular flights to Auckland.
