Josefa Camejo International Airport is the main airport serving the Paraguaná Peninsula and the Punto Fijo area in Falcón State, Venezuela. It is the region's only air terminal and handles domestic flights as well as some international and charter services, including connections to nearby Caribbean islands.
The airport is named in honor of Josefa Camejo, a heroine of the Venezuelan War of Independence. Its passenger terminal was completed in 1971, and the airport today operates a single passenger terminal with a paved runway of about 2,800 meters.
Located northeast of central Punto Fijo, the airport lies roughly 10 kilometers from the city center, with typical taxi journeys taking around 15 to 25 minutes depending on traffic. Ground transportation is mainly by taxi, hotel transfer, or private car.
