Punta Islita Airport (PBP)

Punta Islita Airport is a small private airport serving the coastal village of Punta Islita and the surrounding southern Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica. It is located near the village of Corozalito, about 3 kilometres east of Punta Islita, and provides the main air access to a series of secluded Pacific beaches.

The airport has a single asphalt runway and a compact passenger terminal, and it mainly handles light aircraft, private flights and charter operations rather than large commercial traffic. Its coastal setting, with rising terrain in most directions except toward the Pacific shore, makes it a small but practical gateway for the region.

For onward travel, visitors typically rely on pre-arranged transfers, taxis and rental vehicles, often with four-wheel drive for local roads. The nearest larger towns include Sámara, Nicoya and Nosara, while the airport itself remains a convenient entry point for beach resorts and private villas along the southern coast of the peninsula.
