Located approximately 13 km northeast of central Inverness, the airport operates from a single modern terminal building that brings check-in, security, arrivals and passenger facilities together in one straightforward layout. The airport is connected to Inverness by regular Stagecoach buses, taxis, private transfers and car rental, and since 2023 by the nearby Inverness Airport railway station, which is around a 12-minute walk or a short bus ride from the terminal. Road access is via the A96 Inverness to Nairn route.
