Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport is the main international airport serving Gdańsk and the wider Pomeranian region, including the Tricity area of Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot. Opened in 1974 at Rębiechowo and later named after former Polish president Lech Wałęsa, it has grown into a key gateway for both leisure and business travel along the Baltic coast.
Located about 12 km from central Gdańsk, the airport is served by the Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway, which connects the terminal to Gdańsk Główny, as well as by bus routes, taxis, private transfers and car rental.
