About Warsaw Chopin Airport
Warsaw Chopin Airport is Poland's main international airport and the primary gateway serving Warsaw and the surrounding Masovian region. The airport opened in 1934 on the Okęcie site and was later renamed in honour of the composer Frédéric Chopin.
Located about 10 km southwest of central Warsaw, the airport handles domestic and international flights through a single integrated passenger terminal known as Terminal A. The terminal brings together the former Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 areas into one connected complex with South and North halls.
The airport is connected to the city by rail services from an underground station beneath the terminal, city buses, taxis, private transfers, chauffeur services and car rental, with road links providing access to central Warsaw and the wider region.
