About Estevan Regional Airport
Estevan Regional Airport is the main airport serving the city of Estevan and southeastern Saskatchewan. It supports general aviation, charter flights, flight training and aircraft maintenance, and acts as a regional gateway for business and private travel near the United States border.
Opened in 1989, the airport received major runway, taxiway, surface and lighting upgrades in 2015. It operates two asphalt runways: the main 08/26 runway is about 1,525 metres (5,003 feet) long, and the 15/33 crosswind runway is about 915 metres (3,001 feet). The main hangar and terminal building includes a passenger lobby and a pilots lounge with weather services, Wi-Fi and satellite TV.
Located about 6 km (3.5 mi) north of central Estevan and roughly 19 km (12 mi) north of the U.S. border, the airport is reached via Highway 47. Car rental, taxi services and a pilot courtesy vehicle are available for travel into the city.
As an official port of entry with CANPASS privileges, the airport supports transborder flights and provides fuel, aircraft servicing, hangar space and tie-down facilities for a range of general aviation aircraft.
