About Enggano Airport
Enggano Airport is the only airport on Enggano Island and serves as the island's main air link to the Sumatran mainland. It connects the remote island communities of North Bengkulu Regency with Bengkulu through scheduled pioneer flights operated by small aircraft.
The airport has a single asphalt runway measuring 1,600 by 30 meters and one compact terminal building of about 404 square meters. It serves domestic flights only, mainly the Bengkulu–Enggano route, with a flight time of around 45 minutes compared with a much longer sea crossing.
Located near Banjar Sari village, the airport is reached from island settlements by motorcycle taxi, DAMRI bus or transport arranged through local homestays. There are no regular taxis, ride-hailing services or rail links on the island.
Facilities at the terminal are basic and include seating, restrooms and a small waiting area. Passengers should carry cash and supplies, as shops, restaurants and ATMs are not available at the airport.
