Dzaoudzi Pamandzi International Airport (DZA)

Dzaoudzi Pamandzi International Airport is Mayotte's only commercial airport and the main gateway to the French overseas department. It sits on the island of Petite-Terre at Pamandzi, across the water from Mamoudzou on Grande-Terre, and connects Mayotte with mainland France, Réunion and destinations in East Africa and the Indian Ocean.

Located roughly 7 km from central Mamoudzou, the airport operates from a single compact passenger terminal. Because Mayotte lies outside the Schengen area, passengers should expect document and passport checks for international travel, while the terminal layout keeps walking distances short.

Reaching Mamoudzou usually combines a short taxi ride from the terminal to the Dzaoudzi ferry point and a passenger barge across to Grande-Terre, with service reduced at night and on Sundays. Taxis, private transfers, car rental and group transport offer alternatives or connections beyond the barge.

The airport provides essential passenger facilities including food and drink outlets, a lounge, Wi-Fi and accessibility assistance. Although more compact than a large mainland hub, it serves as an important link for business, family and leisure travel to and from Mayotte.
