About Dole–Jura Airport
Dole–Jura Airport (DLE) is a regional airport serving Dole and the surrounding Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region in eastern France. Located in Tavaux in the Jura department, it also acts as a convenient gateway to the cities of Besançon and Dijon, sitting between the two. The site was used as a military airfield during the Second World War and opened its first passenger terminal and control tower in 1970. Today the airport operates through a single passenger terminal and a 2,230-metre runway, handling regular domestic and international services as well as summer charter flights. The airport lies about 7–8 km from central Dole and is reached via the A39 motorway, with taxis and car rental available at the terminal. A shuttle bus service links the airport with railway stations in Dijon, Besançon and Beaune, while Dole-Ville station provides further rail connections. Owned by the Jura departmental council and managed by Edeis since 2020, Dole–Jura Airport offers compact, easy-to-navigate facilities for both leisure and business travellers.
