Cholet Le Pontreau Airfield (CET)

Cholet Le Pontreau Airfield is a civil aerodrome serving Cholet and the surrounding Maine-et-Loire area in the Pays de la Loire region. Located about 2 km north of the city centre, it primarily supports general aviation, business flights, leisure flying, training and aeromodelling rather than scheduled commercial services.

The airfield operates a paved runway of around 1,380 metres, complemented by an adjacent grass runway reserved mainly for gliders and authorised aircraft. Its compact terminal and apron serve light aircraft, with an Aerodrome Flight Information Service available during operating hours and instrument approach procedures available for one of the runway directions.

The airfield is used by private pilots, flying clubs and business operators, and international private flights can be arranged with advance notice for customs and other formalities. Road access places central Cholet only a short drive away, while Nantes Atlantique Airport provides the main regional link for scheduled airline travel roughly 60 kilometres to the northwest.

For visitors, the location is convenient for Cholet's business and manufacturing base, the Puy du Fou theme park to the south, and the towns and châteaux of the wider Loire Valley.
