About Buffalo Narrows Airport
Buffalo Narrows Airport is a regional airport serving Buffalo Narrows and northwestern Saskatchewan. Located about 3.7 km east-southeast of the community, it supports scheduled regional flights and charter operations that connect the area with larger centres such as Saskatoon.
The airport has two paved runways and a small terminal building designed for domestic regional traffic. It serves the local community, including a workforce tied to mining and other northern industries, and provides an essential air link for residents and visitors in a remote part of the province.
The airport is reached from Buffalo Narrows by road, and Highway 155 links the community to La Loche, Ile-a-la-Crosse and points south toward Prince Albert and Saskatoon. Taxis, private transfers and rental vehicles are common ways to continue from the airport.
As a small northern airport, facilities are modest but functional, with a straightforward check-in, security and arrivals flow. It functions as an important gateway for travel within northern Saskatchewan.
