About Brochet Airport
Brochet Airport is a small regional airport serving Brochet and the adjacent Barren Lands First Nation on the northern shore of Reindeer Lake in northern Manitoba. The airport provides a vital air link for a remote community where scheduled, charter and medical evacuation flights support year-round access.
Located about one nautical mile west of the community, the airport has a single gravel runway and a compact terminal building. Because road access to the region is limited, air travel is an essential connection to larger centres such as Lynn Lake, Thompson and other parts of Manitoba.
Runway 03/21 is approximately 3,000 feet long and 90 feet wide, suitable for small aircraft and regional operations. The facility is certified and operated by the Government of Manitoba; pilots are required to give prior notice, and the terminal building is staffed during limited weekday hours.
Despite its small size, the airport provides basic passenger facilities, including a waiting area, restrooms and telephone access. For travelers continuing to Brochet and surrounding areas, onward connections are made by local road or arranged ground transport.
