About Brandon Municipal Airport
Brandon Municipal Airport is the main air gateway serving Brandon and southwestern Manitoba. The airport was originally established in 1941 as part of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan and today functions as a compact regional facility for scheduled, charter, and general aviation traffic.
Located just north of downtown Brandon, the airport is roughly 6.5 kilometres from the city centre and connects the region to Calgary through daily non-stop WestJet Encore service. A new, modern terminal building opened in 2017, providing a brighter and more accessible passenger experience.
The airport is reached by road via Highway 10, and most passengers continue their journey by taxi, private transfer, or rental car. Free short-term and long-term parking is available at the terminal, along with accessible stalls.
Inside, travellers can use free Wi-Fi, complimentary baggage carts, a car rental counter, vending machines, and a water bottle filling station. The airport also serves the Westman and Parkland regions and is home to the Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum.
