About Bourges Airport
Bourges Airport is a small civil airport serving Bourges, a commune in the Cher department of the Centre-Val de Loire region in central France. The site dates back to 1928, when it was created to host a flight school linked to an aircraft manufacturer.
Located about 3 km southwest of the city centre, the airport mainly handles business aviation, private flights, flight training and non-scheduled commercial traffic rather than regular scheduled airline services. It has an asphalt runway 06/24 of 1,550 metres, a parallel grass runway, and a single passenger terminal built in the 1990s.
The airport is managed by Edeis and provides FBO and handling services, a VIP lounge, concierge assistance, customs, parking and aviation fuel. It is open to intra-Schengen commercial traffic, private aircraft and IFR/VFR operations.
For onward travel, bus line 20 reaches the city centre in under 15 minutes, with lines 12 and 14 accessible after a short walk. Taxis, chauffeur vehicles and rental cars are also available, making the airport a convenient entry point for visitors to Bourges and the surrounding region.
