About Adisutjipto International Airport
Adisutjipto International Airport serves the city of Yogyakarta and the wider Special Region of Yogyakarta in southern Java. It is located in Maguwoharjo, Sleman Regency, about 8 km northeast of the city centre, and operates as a joint civil and military airport.
Once the main gateway to Yogyakarta and one of the busiest airports on Java, Adisutjipto saw its jet-powered commercial flights relocate to Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) in March 2020. Today it focuses on short-haul propeller services with ATR and Cessna aircraft, alongside military, VIP and general aviation activity.
The airport has a single 2,200-metre runway and two passenger terminal buildings. Its history dates back to a landing ground at Maguwo, and it is named after Agustinus Adisucipto, an Indonesian Air Force pilot.
Travellers can reach the airport by taxi, ride-hailing, Trans Jogja bus, or the KRL commuter rail and Prambanan Ekspres trains that stop at nearby Maguwo station, making it a convenient access point for the city and surrounding attractions.

Adisutjipto Airport has two passenger terminal buildings, Terminal A and Terminal B. Passenger operations are currently centred in Terminal A for domestic propeller flights, while Terminal B, opened in 2015, previously handled domestic and international services.
