Abu Simbel Airport is a small regional airport in southern Egypt serving the village of Abu Simbel and the nearby Abu Simbel Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Opened in 1969, it is one of the main air gateways for travelers visiting the temples near Lake Nasser.
Located about 3 km north of Abu Simbel village and close to the temple complex, the airport mainly handles domestic flights to and from Aswan and Cairo. Its single terminal and single runway keep passenger flows simple and easy to navigate.
