Wollogorang Airport (WLL)

Wollogorang Airport is a small, remote aerodrome serving the Wollogorang area in the Northern Territory's Gulf region, close to the Queensland border. It provides access to cattle stations, remote properties, mining activity and other general aviation operations rather than scheduled commercial airline services.

The airport lies within the Roper Gulf Region, roughly 930 kilometres southeast of Darwin, and has a single unsealed runway of approximately 1,280 metres. Its remote setting and basic facilities make it suitable mainly for light aircraft, charter flights and pre-arranged operations.

Road access is limited and generally requires four-wheel-drive vehicles on outback and station roads. The nearest towns are Borroloola, about 215 kilometres to the northwest, and Doomadgee and Burketown across the Queensland border, while Mount Isa is the nearest larger regional centre.

Travellers using the aerodrome should plan and confirm arrangements in advance, including fuel, vehicle access and accommodation, as public transport and commercial airport services are not available on site.
