Wee Waa Airport (WEW)

Wee Waa Airport is a small regional airfield serving Wee Waa and the surrounding Namoi Valley in northern New South Wales. It mainly supports general aviation, private flights and charter operations rather than regular scheduled passenger services, making it a practical entry point for travellers visiting the local area by light aircraft.

The airport lies approximately 4 km south of the Wee Waa town centre and has a single asphalt runway aligned 04/22 with a length of about 1,140 metres. Its compact layout is suited to light aircraft and smaller charter movements, with operations handled from a single general aviation facility.

Wee Waa is part of the Narrabri Shire and the broader north-western slopes and plains region of New South Wales. For travellers needing scheduled regional flights, Narrabri Airport is located around 40 km to the east and is connected to Wee Waa by road, while local travel from Wee Waa Airport is typically arranged by private transfer, taxi or hire car.

Facilities at the airport are limited, so most passengers arrange onward transport in advance. Its role is primarily as a local aviation gateway for private, business and regional travel within the Namoi Valley and nearby districts.
