The airport has a single runway, designated 05/23, with a reported length of about 825 metres. It mainly handles small aircraft, charter flights and community services rather than large scheduled commercial traffic.
Located near Weam village, the airfield provides a local connection point for travelers continuing toward Morehead, roughly 56 km away, and Daru, the provincial capital. Ground transport should be arranged in advance, as public options are limited.
